Description |
Ervi Sirén describes her method an activating process of skills through which it is possible to find such unconscious knowledge and skills which wouldn't maybe otherwise occur. When the dancer gives oneself up for the movement, one's dancing is clear and the substance is being conscious, controlled and relaxed. The only problem is that once succeeded achievement is not necessarily repeatable but through exercise still able to be rediscovered. When Sirén started to work with Reconciliation she had a clear vision to which direction the themes and the duet would develop, but as always with a living "material" the personalities of the dancers effect and guide the process in to a direction or another. The basic material of the movement she would hope to transform and disappear during the process so that the most essential substance of the dancers, the material produced through these ideas would be left for the choreographer to work with. |
