Description | In her work Verso, choreographer Sanna Kekäläinen is trying to understand and to give form to perishability and the transientness of circulation, which is present in every moment of our lives. Verso takes a serious business and looks for interpretations, possibilities and humour: how can one survive honourably and then vanish into thin air? The idea of vanishing and circulation becomes concrete in the musical structure of Verso, which pits Polish composer Henryk Górecki’s work Miserere against Tricky’s urban trip hop sounds. Verso consists of two parts: the first part is performed by a male dancer (Sampo Kivelä or Taisto Oksanen) and the second part is a solo by Sanna Kekäläinen herself. |
