Description |
The choreographer has said: "The complexity of the Petrushka character has always interested me. The countless number of contrary characteristics of the love triangle on the one hand (manipulation/sincerity, to rule/to obay, to love/to doubt), and the inner struggle for survival of these sensitive individuals on the other, is precisely what I wanted to explore in my own version. When I heard James Crabb's and Geir Draugsvoll's arrangement for two classical accordions I felt their interpretation had captured the same intimacy yet universality I was looking to create with my choreography." |
