Description | Trois riviéres (three rivers) is composed for four percussionists and live electronics based on the poem Nuit de lune sur le fleuve by the chinese Li Bai. The musicians, wearing headphones, recite excerpts of the poem to microphones, stressing the excerpts differently. The piece is divided in three parts and its broad selection of percussions communicates with the flowing movement of the composition and the nocturnal atmosphere. |
Other Information | The piece was performed as a part of Sibelius Academy's concert series. |
