Description |
The Tempest by William Shakespeare is the starting point of Petri Kekoni's new work. Characters from the play have been torn away from the original story and thrown into a bare 1950s industrial milieu. Abstract, intuitive movement processing confronts a story. The tempest emerges as an inner, societal and natural phenomenon, with an unsettling and dismantling effect. Anything that can come undone will be undone. The music of the piece consists of Jean Sibelius' The Tempest and Timo Muurinen's sound montage. (Source: programme) |
