Description | The Tunnel is the sequel to Raatikainen’s popular Comments (Kommentteja). A human being is looking for happiness, both alone and as a member of a group. The piece combines aspects of dance, theatre and even opera, and apart from being humorous it is also sensitive and genuinely touching. Tülay Schakir’s fantastically colourful and comprehensive visualisation underlines the work’s message; the danger of losing our humanity in the dizzying rush of technological progress. |
