"A way here is the result of a 6-month collaboration with dancers from New York City, Turku/ Finland and Osaka/ Japan. The Turku and Osaka sections were created during separate residencies. The entire cast assembled in New York at the end of February, when the piece was woven together in a remarkable process. The artists examined their physical perceptions of space. Distance (physical, personal, temporal) revealed their cultural differences, and shared humanity. The metaphors invoked aspects of interrelations - communication, isolation, memory, interdependence. \" |
