Description "The starting point of Wallpainted Abstractions consists of writing, the labyrinth of linguistic meanings and the play with multiple levels of meanings. This work has two sources of inspiration that are geographically and culturally related. The first one is the Arabic writing, which is one of the oldest sign systems still in use. Another starting point is connected to the mysticism of the Sufi culture. As described by the Sufis, words form a particular curtain which separates us from the reality. The basis of Wallpainted Abstractions is the system of signs which, besides its beauty, contains meanings and secrets. By following the signs you can find something you cannot express with words."
