| Description |
Mute is a contemporary dance theatre performance about the disintegration of oneself, that is caused by unfounded allegations and the healing process that follows. The performance is a dialogue between contemporary dance and spoken word that has its roots in prose and poetry. Texts are by actor-director Kasperi Nordman. They emerged from Nordman's personal experiences during a grotesque legal battle that created a severe case of insomnia for several years. A mute is a person who, as the name implies, is mute. Mute is alone and unable to communicate with his/her environment except through movement. He/she wakes up every night in the ‘wolf moment’ and waits for a dream that does not come. Mute creates a fragmented world of imagination and hallucination in order to escape his/her reality. |
