| Description |
s o f t s h i f t s is a performance installation that draws out a landscape that plays with vibration and fluidity. It dives into slowly passing clouds and the canals of the inner ear. It is a playground of sensing and being sensed. It is both a space that can be explored independently and a space where one can feel connected to others. The audience is invited to engage with the work by sensing rather than analyzing. How does it feel in your body? How are we together? What remains? When does one become another? The work consists of an independent installation and a performance within it. The starting point of the work has been to explore and understand bodily co-regulation,i.e. how bodies adapt and respond to each other in ways that are independent of consciousness and will. The work invites bodies to a shared frequency that allows for alternating influences. It outlines a space where the nervous system can find rest and a sense of solidarity can emerge. During the working process, four themes emerged as the focus of the work: resting, nesting, resonating, reflecting. In the performance, the attention wanders through different senses, materialities, forms and the slow reconstructing of meanings. |
