Description Burrow inside the Earth, soil and rock, curl around and round, turn into an insect.

The performance piece Singing Earth is a dance of materiality. It sends you on a journey into the universes of your inner self and the earth. The earth dances on your skin and in your ear, caresses the eye. The piece is a tactile experience, a choreographic concert, a sea of senses.

Singing Earth is a meditative performance and a living installation, inhabited by and brought to dance by the artistic working group. Audience members are guided each to their own ’nests’ to rest in any way desired. The performance includes touch through materials without a direct human contact. We dance as an internal part of the installation, pondering on touch multidimensionally, researching how it can happen in various ways through the materials. We travel through different layers of the earth from full darkness to light. Singing Earth researches soft touch and its radical power. The piece asks, how would it be to be minuscule and an inherent part of the earth. What flourishes after the Anthropocene? Earth sings, but how?

The piece continues a choreographic series that researches touch through sensorial baths. The first piece in this series is Flower Bath (2021).
