| Description |
Matriarch is a monologue tangled with dance from beyond the grave, a bleakly merciful address of in-between spaces where the graveyard itself is the furthest we’ve managed to reach. Grudge, jealousy, and pettiness condense as the corpse decomposes—and lust for power is truly immortal. Does the neighbouring grave once again have the finer floral decorations? Tinged with black humour, the performance solidifies the Matriarch’s character as something truly unique and identifiable. The physical aspects of narration outline a character who exists in a different dimension altogether. |
