lollollollollollollololl is a post-millennial piece born from weak aesthetics, the beautiful and the sublime, sincerity, depression, precariousness, sex, friendship, and internet nostalgia. From these, the work forms a composition evoking the poetics of the internet acronym LOL. LOL originally meant laughing out loud but suffered an inflation into a laconic comment. In the title of the piece, the lols form a rumble in which the present stretches out. |
