"Versions is a series of scenes that presents the movement and bodily observations of fema artist collective about being different in an urban space. Versions opens up to the experiencer the current urban space, its power structures, and the experiencer's own relationship to the division and use of the space. Reorganization, recycling, collection and repetition are the basis of Versions as physical and thematic tools. Circular forms of movement, softness, slow motion, stopping, reversing and other ways of moving are present in the concept work. At the core of the work is also questioning the concepts of the performance and the performer by shifting the gaze between the performer, an invited audience member and a passer-by. The overall idea of the work concept is to question the distribution of power in the urban space and thus promote the encounter between people." |
