Description |
"The starting points for I LAND are feminist practice, witchcraft, magic and rituals. The artistes are interested in classical, fable-related, mythical and their very own nature-related research. The performance suggests different terrains of encounters and creates poetic but absurd connections between the individual and the environment. It invites the viewer to calm down, descend and ground themselves to a mellow state. I LAND examines the gentle provocation and practices of encounters centring on both the gaze and being gazed upon. The team of I LAND was convened by Eevi Tolvanen and Anna-Maria Väisänen and it builds around a collective practice between Kuopio, Helsinki and Tasmania." |
