Description |
Flashdance is a strange calling. Flashdance is a shapeshifting. Flashdance is shadows and echoes. Flashdance is darkness that moves. Flashdance is a sinking feeling. Flashdance is appeances and disappearances. Flashdance is November in Gran Canaria. Flashdance is mirage. Flashdance is reorganization. Flashdance is a monster. Flashdance is a special time. Welcome to the night. Flashdance approaches the night as a unique condition for both social systems and bodies. It opens up possibilities for altered ways of being, for turnarounds and after images. At night foreground and background begin to blur, life and lifelessness, genders, animals, and sceneries become mixed and equally indistinguishable. The invisible and visible coexist. Flashdance operates on the outskirts of our vision and aims to create a fully kinesthetic viewing experience. |
