Description | Closing Time is a dance theatre solo about a summer day – and evening – that don’t quite go as planned. The hard-suffering, hard-partying main character is the archetypal Finnish guy, desperately trying to maintain his dignity and optimism while navigating a haze of alcohol and failed romantic escapades. With its laconic humour and distinctly Finnish sensibility, the work is a tragicomic but all too real slice of nightlife under the northern stars. The work is accompanied by the evocative retro tones of Finnish popular dance music from decades past. |
