| Description | On This Side of the Shadow is the second part of a series of works that deal with happiness. In this work two people meet each other. Happiness is to be seen and to experience that you exist. Happiness is friendship. In this performance the dance advances like a stream of consciousness, only to reverse back to simply being still. The contact between two people creates tension and bursts in the movement. In this work, dance and theatre is combined, accompanied by live music. The choreography has a dialogue with parts that are realized through shadow theatre. In these parts a little character called Miska is adventuring. The texts in the shadow theatre parts are from Tove Jansson's book Moominsummer Madness. Additionally the work is followed through by live music by musician Stefan Lindblom. |
