Description |
The work is based on Tove Jansson's book The Tales from the Moominvalley that opens Jansson's well-known themes: invisibility, otherness and difference. The basis of the visual world are the original illustrations of Tove Jansson in the collection of the Moominvalley of the Tampere Art Museum. As the starting point of the choreographic process is the thesis of PhD Sirke Happonen Fillyjonk at the window - The picture, Word and Movement in Tove Jansson's Moomin Books. The thesis asks how does Jansson create movement in her illustrations and how she characterizes the characters' typical way to move in her texts. |
