"Double Lives continues the thematic journey that Saarinen embarked on with Next of Kin (Tero Saarinen Company, 2008): an exploration of humanity's subconscious, mental conflicts, and patterns of behaviour. One major inspiration for the new work has been the universal idea of the doppelganger. Saarinen and his creative visual team play with illusion and reality: the complex character of humanity is portrayed on stage - both figuratively and literally - with shadows and echoes."
